Onur Air commenced its operations with A320/321 series aircrafts, which were the most advanced and electronically operated aircrafts of their times, and is the first airline company to have received the CAT III B authorization (requiring below 25 feet ceiling and 125 meter runway visibility) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation 

Onur Air has unlimited CAT II/III approach and landing permit all over Europe, including England, and is currently CAT II/III certified in all types.

-OPERATION SUCCESS OF 99.8%

  •   Onur Air increased its technical dispatch ratio to 99.8% in 1994, which had already achieved an excellent ratio of 99.7% from May 1992 – May 1994, in type A320 aircrafts thanks to the accurate and successful operations.  
    Airbus Industry honored Onur Air with the first prize on operations and technical aspects in 1994 and 1995.
  •   Airbus Industry awarded Onur Air with the high flight training standard and operational & dispatch qualification certificates from 1992 to 1997. 
  •   Onur Air had dispatch performance of 98.5%, 99.5% and 99.2% in 2000, 2001, and 2002 respectively in Hajj flights by A300 aircrafts.  
  •   In 2001, Onur Air achieved 99.2% operation and safety ratios at type MD88 aircrafts, whereas the same ratio was 100% for type A300 and A321 aircrafts.
  •   Onur Air won the Airbus Operational Excellence Award in 2005.
  •   Onur Air was honored with the second prize all over Europe by Dutch Schiphol Airport on flight, number of passenger, delay service, and payment conditions. 
  •   In addition to ISO9001:2000 Certificate, EN9100:2003 Certificate demonstrating standardized applications in aviation was given to Onur Air in 2006.
  •   Onur Air is the first and only airline company certified with EN9100:2003 in Turkey.
  •   Onur Air has become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2007.
  •   Due to its excellent operations in international lines Onur Air has been honored with the Certificate of Merit each single year on end since 2000, awarded by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce for the most successful exporters of the year.
